Hi, I am Andrea Travillian. I have been a student and user of budgeting for over 15 years. Not only my own personal budget, teaching others to budget, but also corporate and entrepreneurial budgeting.
My first career out of college, with my degree in finance, was working on major corporate budgets. I worked for UPS and Boeing Australia creating their budgets. I developed an annual $186 million budget that supported operations in three states for UPS. Then once those were completed I was responsible for evaluating monthly budget variances, so we understood where things went wrong.
With Boeing not only did I get the pleasure of helping create the budgets and monitor them, but then adjusting the reporting for an international currency.
Since my corporate experience I have managed entrepreneurial budgets for my own companies and helped other business owners manage their companies’ budget and personal budgets at the same time. One of the hardest things a business owner can do, manage the company and their own money.
Creating budgets that work and deal with real life has been my focus. Understanding there is a balance between what needs to happen and what you have the tools to do. Helping everyday people create real budgets that they can follow.
